Day 29- SOAP

Day 29

Numbers 33- Deuteronomy 2

Scripture: Deut 1: 17 Do not show partiality in judging; hear both small and great alike. Do not be afraid of any man, for judgment belongs to God. Bring me any case too hard for you, and I will hear it.

Observation: Only God can judge.

Application: So I know this was said in a little bit of a difference context, with the choosing judges etc, but ultimately it says the most important thing that we (me!) forget and do sooooo many times…Judge other people…we have no right to judge them, doesn’t matter what, we do not have the right, only God does.

Prayer: Father please help me to not judge other people. And to understand when they do certain things that I don’t agree with (and vice versa ofcourse!). Thank you for your forgiveness and amazing love Amen

  1. Haha - I had the same scripture again! But I focused on the other line: "hear both great and small alike."

O - Everything is important. What is trivial to you is serious to someone else. In the end, God will be the judge.

A - You don't know what's going on in someone else's life. When someone gets upset over something that sounds small to you, don't criticize them. It goes both ways, things that are important to you might not be important to anyone else. We should just listen and let God be the judge.

P - Lord thank you for being there in good times and in bad. Help me to remember that people are all in different places in their lives and that I might not understand everything they are going through. Help me not to judge and remind me to leave that to you.

  2. Great soap, Ryan!

Ch.2 v.7 was my stand out verse. I guess since I just had a birthday...
The Lord your God has blessed you in all the work of your hands. He has watched over your journey through this vast desert. These forty years the Lord your God has been with you, and you have lacked nothing.

God is faithful. He is always with me- no matter where I am.
