Day 81
Nehemiah 12- Job 3
Sorry that I haven’t been sending a lot of soaps at the moment but it doesn’t mean I am not 100% committed to this or not doing my readings…in fact God is speaking to me in amazing and wonderful ways but some of it is very personal. I am also asking Him for guidance in my life for a specific reason at the moment so the readings that I get are for this one reason exactly…
So we read through the book of Ester today (yes you were supposed to read FROM Nehemiah 12 TO Job 3 with EVERYTHING in between hahaha) and I love that book…just to see that even though Haman was soooo arrogant and yes just plain evil, justice prevailed (which we know will happen to everyone on the day of reckoning). I could go into detail about other things too but some of you might not have read today’s reading yet so I won’t spoil it for you! So here is my SOAP:
Scripture: 13 11 So I rebuked the officials and asked them, “Why is the house of God neglected?” Then I called them together and stationed them at their posts.
Observation: The officials were asked why the house of God was neglected.
Application: I know in this sense it was asking the officials why the house of God was neglected but I think it is also applicable o everyone…I mean why was the house neglected and every one of us should be able to give an answer if that is what we are doing. We have to take responsibility for when we neglect God and know we are going to have to give an answer and will probably be rebuked for doing it or for not doing what we could have etc. so if you are neglecting the house of God think why you are (and no not even one reason will be good enough an excuse) and how you are going to say this to God.
Prayer: Father please help me not to neglect You. Please let the fire I have inside of me to learn more of You keep on burning and even intensify. Please help those people whom are neglecting You to find the way back to You and for Christians to help them do this. Thank You so much for Your guidance in our lives. Amen
