Jonah 1- Micah 7
Scripture: Micah 6 8 He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you?
To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God.
Observation: He has told us many times what He wants us to do: be fair, kind and recognize his power and our true position.
Application: It is clear how to behave if you walk humbly with Him and using His measuring stick as to what justice and mercy is, BUT it is not always that easy to apply it all the time, is it? I know I for one definitely forget and slip but if I keep these words in my head at all times I can get better and better at all three of these things and live more the way and life that He intends me to live.
Prayer: Father it is so easy to get caught up in specifics but you sum this up for us here so simply and completely. Please help me in acting justly, being merciful; and walking humbly with you. By doing those three things I will live the life you have set out for me and of course that is the life I want to live! Thank you so much for your love and reminding me what you want me to do! Amen.
