Week 18 - Check in

Hi guys!

Soooo how is it going? There is about 6 weeks left of this reading plan…ummm yeah ONLY six weeks! Can you believe it? I can’t, I mean now it isn’t months anymore it is in weeks and that’s crazy hahaha I can’t wait to get into the New Testament and read about Jesus and his life and everything that happened and what he did for us etc.

Because the prophets are hard! I am ahead by a few days at the moment because I have some extra time at school so though id use it constructively so started reading a bit more…so I know for some of you the next week is also going to be hard reading because Ezekiel is full of destruction, anger etc etc and at some points it is hard to read and stay focused. But all I can say is try to stay focused and get as much as possible out of it. But don’t beat yourself up if you feel you are just reading because I have to say the second time around reading it is easier but still not easy! So if you understand nothing the first time it is ok you can ask questions and see if it starts making more sense or you can read some commentary on the internet or you can decide that after we finish this plan that you want to read the prophets again or maybe do the whole plan again…

Either way the fact that you are reading your bible every day is great even if you are not taking everything in (I don’t think you can ever know the whole bible, but I am gonna try :)) you are doing more than you might have done before. I know in my case I did not spend enough time in the bible until I started doing some reading plans and now that I know this is what works best for me I think I will keep on doing different reading plans (can't wait for Pastor Brandon’s reading plan :)) so what I’m trying to say…I know I take forever to get to a point sometimes, is that it is ok if you are struggling now as long as you keep reading and focus as much as possible because you are doing more than what you did and God will speak to you and let you know what He wants you to hear. Please don’t be discouraged guys you are doing great and your constant emails are amazing to me…

Ok so good luck for this week!

  3. On track, but it is challenging to stay on track. Sometimes life just gets in the way. ;-) It will be much more challenging in the next five weeks because I will be in the US visiting family and friends. See you in sometime in June.
