Day 151- SOAP

Day 151

Mark 10-16

Scripture: 10 ²⁷ Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but not with God; all things are possible with God.”

And

14 ⁷² Immediately the rooster crowed the second time. Then Peter remembered the word Jesus had spoken to him: “Before the rooster crows twice you will disown me three times.” And he broke down and wept.

Observation: As he rooster crowed, Peter realized that he had denied Jesus, just as Jesus had told him he would do. This really upset him.

Application: ok so Peter knew Jesus face to face, he heard Him everyday, he saw His miracles on a daily basis and he even healed people in His name. BUT he still denied knowing Jesus when he was scared. He did however realize the error of his way and it really hit home with him. And later Jesus still comes back and loves him even though he did this, because he is only human…you would think that if he denied Jesus, Jesus would deny him but oh no he gets forgiven and is still loved even after all of that…and that my friends is the same with us! even though we have big and little mistakes He still loves us! and as we repent He welcomes us with open arms always forgiving and loving us…WOW how amazing is that?!?!?!

Prayer: Father you are sooooo amazing. Thank you thank you thank you for your never-ending love of us and your second third and fourth (100^th?) chances. Even when we deny you in fear or shame or whatever reason, you wait for us to come back to You. And then you wrap us up in your love. Thank you! Please help those that don’t know this to understand it. Help those who feel unloved and those who think they could never approach you to realize that they can and that your love is for all who wants it. If I can help share this in new ways, or more in ways I already do… then, please show me where and how! Thank you for your love! Amen
