Day 159

John 12-19

Scripture: 15 1“I am the true vine, and my Father is the gardener. ² He cuts off every branch in me that bears no fruit, while every branch that does bear fruit he prunes so that it will be even more fruitful.

Observation: God prunes us to be even more fruitful. But if you bear no fruit you will be cut off.

Application: I need to be one of the vines that bears fruit so that God can prune me to bear even more fruit. Not because I don’t want to be cut off (yes that too ofcourse) but this is what we were made for, to bear fruit.

Prayer: Thank you Father that we know you are our gardener and that you prune us and water us and look after us so that we can be even more fruitful for you and your Kingdom. Please help us that we will always be fruitful and not be cut off from you. Thank you for everything you do for us and please go with those that feel they are not fruitful or those that aren’t but want to be…in your name we pray Amen
