Day 170
2 Corinthians 8- Galatians 6
Scripture: Galatians 1 10 Am I now trying to win the approval of men, or of God? Or am I trying to please men? If I were still trying to please men, I would not be a servant of Christ.
Observation: You won’t be a servant of God if you try to please men and not Him.
Application: We have to remember that we don’t need men’s approval of us, we need God’s. So I am not saying don’t do things for other people (because the Bible clearly says you should help) but I am saying you don’t need their approval. You only need God’s, so if you know what you are doing is approved by Him then do it 100%. For if you worry about other people and their acceptance you are not a true servant of God.
Prayer: Father please help us to not worry about approval from other people but only from you. Help us to do what is right in your eyes. The only way we would know this is we spend more time in your word with you and to grow closer to you by prayer. So help us to do this, in your name we pray this…Amen
