Day 17- SOAP

Day 17

Exodus: 40- Leviticus 7

Scripture: Leviticus 5: 17 If a person sins and does what is forbidden in any of the LORD's commands, even though he does not know it, he is guilty and will be held responsible.

Observation: Even if you don’t know you sinned you are guilty.

Application: ummm yes soooo just yesterday my SOAP was about the fact that you will be punished for your sins, and rightfully so…and then today wham you will even be punished for the ones you didn’t commit intentionally…sjoe harsh but needed I am sure…I am just soooo thankful for Jesus because without Him and His forgiveness I would be in some serious trouble because of all my sins (mostly unintentional)…Sin is sin even if it is unintentional. And when you realize you committed that sin, whether someone told you or you saw it yourself you should say sorry for your mistake because you didn’t mean to do it. You should express regret and apologize...I should recognize my sin and apologize to God so I can accept forgiveness and try harder next time.

Prayer: Father please continue to guide me away from sin, reading Your word and moving closer to You definitely helps but I still sin…daily…so please help me with that…Thank you for forgiving me even though I sin, at first I was a bit upset about the fact that my mistakes are seen as sin, but after thinking, reading and hearing your word I realized that’s what they are- sin…so thank you for forgiving me those too…You are amazing…amen

Thank you for the P.S. I have been struggling with these readings and especially the one today. I caught myself today commiting sins (of course, after I had already done it). Thank you for reminding me to admit to these sins, but also because of Him I know I am forgiven.

  2. Hi, Ilani. Thank you for your SOAP. I know it's been a while. Hope you had awesome holidays. Honestly, I didn't keep reading the Bible during the holidays, so I've been trying to catch up since I came back in town, which allows me not enough time to meditate on the Scripture, though. I'll be fine by tomorrow night.

BTW, I have a question. How can I, as a novel believer, define sins ? Since I haven't read through the Bible thoroughly, I don't either know or remember all the commands God has given us. I know I sin without my own awareness or sometimes intentionally but how do I know what I do is sins. As I try to know more, curiosity snowballs. I wonder even being curious can be a sin.
