Day 16
Exodus: 34-39
Scripture: 34: 6 And he passed in front of Moses, proclaiming, The LORD, the LORD, the compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger, abounding in love and faithfulness,
7 maintaining love to thousands, and forgiving wickedness, rebellion and sin. Yet he does not leave the guilty unpunished; he punishes the children and their children for the sin of the fathers to the third and fourth generation.
Observation: God is slow in getting angry with us, He is such a loving God and shows faithfulness, forgiveness and many other things but if you sin you will be punished.
Application: I should not keep on doing things that I clearly know is wrong (hopefully I don’t do that very often) because I will have to account for them. And I am not talking about obvious sins that people can see, those are to me easier to stop, no I am talking about things like feeling jealous towards people and their blessings, not helping people in need, not treating people fairly etc… these are all things that God doesn’t like (and we all know this). And I shouldn’t do them, so when I know I am doing it I have to stop myself. Not just keep on doing it since I can repent later and all will be forgiven…
Prayer: Father You are so amazing. The fact that you still love me after the amount of things I did wrong, am doing wrong and still will do wrong is amazing. Please help me to rectify this and to do things that are pleasing for you. Thank you for all you do for us. Amen…
