Day 8- SOAP

Day 8

Genesis: 39-44

Scripture: 39:2 The Lord was with Joseph and he prospered, and he lived in the house of his Egyptian master.

Observation: So even though Joseph was a slave he did really well because God was with him.

Application: I need to remember at all times to be thankful that the Lord is with me and I should remember this when I get frustrated, worried, angry etc about situations that I am in…Everything I do I should do in honor and glory of God, and before I do something I should take a second and think if it the case before I do it…I mean if Joseph could ‘prosper’ as a slave, imagine how we can ‘prosper’ if you have God on your side! And the way to do this I think is by listening, studying and growing my relationship with God.

Prayer: Father thank you for showing me that I should look past what difficulties I think I might be suffering and instead look to You and your help to prosper. Thank you so much for the chance to read Your word and growing closer to You. Help those reading with me to look toward you and get to know You even more clearly. But help us to understand REAL prosperity, NOT worldly prosperity. Thank you for all your help and guidance, we just have to listen more!!!
