Day 31
Deuteronomy 8-14
Scripture: 8 ( 17 You may say to yourself, My power and the strength of my hands have produced this wealth for me.)
18 But remember the LORD your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your forefathers, as it is today.
Observation: God gives you the ability to become successful; it is not just because of your hard work.
Application: We should remember that the reason we can do what we do and make a success of it is because of God. If it wasn’t that He gave you the abilities and gifts you won’t be able to do anything. Yes you have to work hard of course, but if He didn’t give you any gifts it wouldn’t have mattered how hard you worked it wouldn’t have been a success.
Prayer: Father thank you so much for my gifts…I know sometimes I must really make You sad when I say to people I have no gifts, because of course I do and I am soooo honored that you loved and cared enough about me to give me them…I just didn’t always know what they were but after seeing You working in my life I have a pretty clear picture now! Please help me to remember that any success is because of the gifts You gave me, because without You I am nothing…Please help me to keep on using my gifts doing the things that You have planned for me…in Jesus name I pray…Amen

S- Deuteronomy 11:18-21
ReplyDeleteNew International Version (NIV)
18 Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. 19 Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. 20 Write them on the doorframes of your houses and on your gates, 21 so that your days and the days of your children may be many in the land the LORD swore to give your ancestors, as many as the days that the heavens are above the earth.
O- I must know God and the Bible so I can teach my kids. I need to know the bible and have a personal faith so teaching them is natural, daily, and personal.
A- Like the oxygen mask in airplanes I must breathe in and apply God's word before I can help my kids learn about God. And it needs to be personal, daily, and in everyday familiar times in life -- not just on Sundays.
P- Lord, Saturate my heart and mind with YOU that I may teach your words an truth to J and C.
Amen :)
