Day 39
Joshua 20- Judges 1
Scripture: Joshua 21 45 Not one of all the LORD’s good promises to Israel failed; every one was fulfilled.
Observation: All promises made by God were fulfilled.
Application: There are so many promises to us written in the Bible and they are all going to be realized and fulfilled! It is so exciting!
Prayer: Thank You so much Lord for everything You do for us. You make so many wonderful promises to us (which You don’t have to but because You are such an amazing God You do) and as we read through your word we see them. Thank You that we can know for certain that You will keep them! Thank You for everything You do for us and help us to stay humble and thankful! In Jesus’ name we pray…Amen

Amen.
ReplyDeleteYou've had the same verses as me the last 2 times! Luckily I picked two for today just in case, so I'll use the other one :)
ReplyDeleteS - Joshua 22:18 - "...If you rebel against the LORD today, tomorrow he will be angry with the whole community of Israel."
O - What we do affects others.
A - If we break a covenant with God, it's not only us that is punished, but our community. This to me was almost the other side of what Pastor Brandon was talking about last Sunday. It's our responsibility to catch (and help) each other before (and after) we break rules with God. If I help you and you help me, then maybe the whole community will be saved from punishment. But if I sin and you let me, well then my sin will punish you as well.
P - Lord, let me remember that my actions don't only affect me, but also others. Help guide me away from things that will break the covenants with me. Help me watch out for my brothers and sisters and let me not be offended when/if they attempt to steer me away from wrong paths. In your name I pray.
hahaha great minds think a like and all that hehehe your second one is sooo important and we tend to forget that!so thank you for sharing ;)
