Day 65
2 Kings 18-22
Scripture: 22 19 Because your heart was responsive and you humbled yourself before the LORD when you heard what I have spoken against this place and its people—that they would become a curse[b] and be laid waste—and because you tore your robes and wept in my presence, I also have heard you, declares the LORD.
Observation: Even though God was so angry and disappointed about what His people did, He still listened to Josiah prayer.
Application: So sometimes when we get angry at someone we refuse to listen to anything they have to say or what someone else might want to say in their defense. We literally don’t listen or tune out or start doing something else etc. (and yes I have done this…a few times actually!) But God didn’t, He still listened. So I really need to do that if I want to be a better person and follow God more closely.
Prayer: Father help me to first of all forgive those people whom have wronged me but to also listen to someone even if they had made me angry. You did it so I should do it too. Thank You for showing me the things I have to work on. And thank You for every single thing You do for me! Amen
