Day 66- SOAP

Day 66

2 Kings 23- 1 Chronicles 1

Ok so no SOAP but I thought I’d send an email to mark the end of Kings!!!yippee but then again I have to admit it wasn’t as bad as I remembered the first time to be so I am not that happy hahaha it was actually interesting this time around (I know gasp ilani said history was interestingJ) and for me having the names of the kings written down and focusing on it to make sure I am ticking them of as I was going along really helped..But I know not everyone used it or found it helpful and that is totally fine!!!Ok so did you notice anything about the kings that were interesting to you? To me some of the ages of the kings were interesting, like only 7 years old when he was king, wow. And then the periods the reigned like a few months etc etc also very interesting…but I was saddened by how many of them were bad kings compared to the good ones…and especially when a father was a good king and then his son wasn’t, why not? Surely he was a good example? So yes Kings are finished, but the first few chapters of Chronicles are…umm let’s say a review of names etc so if you think hang on I’ve seen this, you probably have hahaha (good luck!)

I also wanted to let you guys know why I did the bible in 180 days and why I am keeping to it after so many of you let me know your reasons!

So the reason was: I did the one in 90 days last year and it literally changed my life (I know this might not happen to everyone but it most definitely did to me) so it changed my life and then I thought I wanted to do it again because I know for sure that I missed actually quite a lot the first time around because it was such an extremely fast pace…so I decided ok let’s do it again but maybe I’ll just do it a little bit slower so maybe in twice as long then it won’t be an hour a night and also be at such a pace that I can take more in…so the idea for 180 was born…then my best friend said to me she would like to do it with me but having kids she won’t be able to do it at the pace of 90 so the idea became a definite…then Ryan at church said she would do it with me and I thought cool three of us will do it together that is so cool at least I am not alone…and then my family all asked about it after I sent them my newsletter and mentioning it in there…and then I was asked to announce it in church and 26 members later is where we are now ;) and yes it has been though and at some stages I wanted to just give up or skim read the pages…but then I thought back to why I wanted to do it in the first place…to grow closer to God and to grow closer to the person I am supposed to be…do I see any changes? Every single day!!! (Oh I can hear some of you: really, like what?!?!) But almost every day I hear something from God of how great He is or about something of myself that I have to better…so I read it, I see it, and then I take it away and work my hardest at changing that! So every day when I want to get mad or impatient I think of what God has told me and I try that little bit harder not to do it…I am not saying that I am successful every time (not by a looooong shot) but I try harder every day, and that to me is a definite CHANGE!

So even if you can’t SEE the changes, believe me there is change happening in you all the time…and you will realize it all of a sudden! Each and every one of you are truly amazing for doing this and I am so unbelievably proud, even if you are behind because you and I both know you can do it!

God bless
