Hosea 8- Joel 3
There were two versus that spoke to me, so I decided to write both down for you but only do a SOAP on one of them.
13 16 The people of Samaria must bear their guilt,
because they have rebelled against their God
AND
Scripture: 10 13 But you have planted wickedness,
you have reaped evil,
you have eaten the fruit of deception.
Because you have depended on your own strength
and on your many warriors,
Observation: By relying on yourself we have produced bad things…
Application: So the
question is, do you rely on yourself or do you rely on God? So yes He gave me
my brains and strength but if I don’t go to Him before I use them then I will
most probably fail what I wanted to do and/or sin. God wants me to rely on Him
and go to Him first before I do anything. By seeking His will and guidance much
better things will happen…
Prayer: Father thank you for this reminder to seek you first in everything we do…so often I want to solve my own problems, but if just stop and listen I would truly follow your will which is obviously best for me! Please help me and everyone reading in seeking your will and relying on your strength! In your name we ask this…amen
