Day 145- SOAP

Day 145

Matthew 1-9

There were soooo many versus that held meaning to me in today’s reading and I wrote them all down but there is one that jumps out to me every single time I read it (not just when reading through the Bible) and I would even say it is my favorite verse in the whole Bible, and it is a very personal verse for me so my SOAP has been adjusted slightly to send to you :). 

Scripture: 4 ¹⁹ “Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will send you out to fish for people.”

Observation: Follow Jesus and be fishers of people.

Application: This is what we should all aim to do in our lives. In different ways (maybe by ministering, maybe by just your actions) but we should all aim to be fishers of people for the kingdom. When people see you and speak to you and ask you about God and you answer them, this is what you are doing. So I don’t mean everyone has to go out and stand on the street corners and talk about God to everyone :)

Prayer: Father thank you for this verse that you brought into my life when I needed it the most. Thank you for showing me how you want me to fish for people and please guide me so that I would do this as best I can in whichever way you want me to. Thank you for everything you do for me. Amen
