Day 2

DAY 2

Genesis 9-16

Scripture: Genesis So Abram departed as the Lord had spoken to him, and Lot went with him. And Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran.

Observation: God promised Abram to make him great, but there was one condition, he had to do what God wanted him to do. This included leaving his home and travelling to a new place. And he did this! I love the fact that he upped his life and just followed God because of his absolute faith in Him (not later in the chapter though ;)).

Application: I need to make sure that I am tuned into God and His will for me, He might be leading me to a place of greater service for Him. I need to make sure that the comfort and security of my life not make me miss God’s plan for me (if He wants me to move that is...) so I need to listen more to what the plan is!

Prayer: Father please help me to listen to you regarding your will for my life and also the plan you have for me. Please help me to have the faith that Abram had! Thank you so much for everything you have already done for me and the paths you have made me take. You are amazing. Amen

    DAY 2 SOAP

Scripture: [Genesis 15:6] Abram believed the Lord, and he credited it to him as righteousness.

Observation: God gave Abram 3 times his promises toward Abram’s life. The actual word of Lord came down to Abram. Abram followed the word and obeyed I guess that is why he left his house, and he let Lot go, and he trained 318 and fought and rescued Lot. During his long journey to here Chapter 15, Abram finally believed God and when he admitted God, God credited it to him as righteousness. I see here a beautiful picture of human and God relationship which happen when man agreed and God credited. Also, in my life,
many times, God spoke to me and reveal his promises, but if I don’t accept, it is never happen. Rom 5:1 therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Application: I have decided to follow Jesus. I say “Yes” to God.

Prayer: Lord, this is the first step to live in faith. Please let my life walk with you and let me know your grace and mercy and love more and more. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.
