DAY 24
Numbers 8-14

Scripture: 14 ¹⁴ and they will tell it to the inhabitants of this land. They have heard that You, Lord, are among these people; that You, Lord, are seen face to face and Your cloud stands above them, and You go before them in a pillar of cloud by day and in a pillar of fire by night.

Observation: God went before them as a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night. This gets said over and over in the past few readings, so obviously it is very important. It just shows us again and again that God is looking after them the whole time.

Application: does this mean God is not looking after us because he isn’t showing himself or talking to us like in those days? No not at all we are so very very fortunate to have him and his will with us the whole time whenever we want to know more…in the bible. The bible is our pillar of cloud and fire and burning bush :)

Prayer: Father thank you for speaking to us all the time! Thank you for giving us your word so that we know what you want from us and how to accomplish it. Please help us to focus on your words and to listen to you when you speak to us, however difficult the message might be! Thank you for guiding us in your way. Amen
