DAY 25
Numbers 15-20

Scripture: 20 ¹⁰ And Moses and Aaron gathered the assembly together before the rock; and he said to them, “Hear now, you rebels! Must we bring water for you out of this rock?” ¹¹ Then Moses lifted his hand and struck the rock twice with his rod; and water came out abundantly, and the congregation and their animals drank.
¹² Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, “Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.”

Observation: The first time I read this I was thinking wow what did they do wrong to make God soooo angry at them. Only after explanation did I understand, they basically made the people think that they were getting the water out of the rock, not God. they say ‘must WE bring…’ nothing about God.

Application: Make sure that I give praise and ownership when something happens in my life to God because without him nothing is possible.

Prayer: Father thank you for all my blessings. Thank you for everything you do in my life. When something happens and other people praise me remind and help me to say it is because of you and no one else that it was possible. Please help me to become more like you. Amen
