Day 11

DAY 11
Exodus 9-14

Scripture: Exodus 14 15 And the Lord said to Moses, “Why do you cry to Me? Tell the children of Israel to go forward.

Observation: So the first two times I read through the bible I didn’t even see this verse…or if I did it didn’t really make an impact with me, but when I read it this time I was like, ummm why is God telling Moses to stop praying…prayer is powerful and vital, surely he wouldn’t say you shouldn’t do it?!?!But luckily for me there is something like the internet and my awesome new Bible to see what he meant with this: The Lord told Moses to stop praying and get moving. Prayer must have a vital place in our lives, but there is also a place for action. Sometimes we know what to do, but we pray for more guidance as an excuse to postpone doing it. If we know what we should do, then it is time to get moving. A prime example of this is like Pastor Brandon said regarding 180 the other day in church, don’t pray about if you should do this or not, of course God wants you to spend more time in his word so the answer is a yes! (ok not quoted word for word but close enough right?:))

Application: I should not pray about those things that I know clearly what God want me to do (I am actually pretty guilty of this I realized today, I know what he wants but I still pray just to make sure…ai). Instead I should just do them! And then I can spend more time praying about those things that I don’t know about and for friends and family etc….duh :)

Prayer:  Father thank you soooo much for this verse today. But now I have to say sorry for doing this often. Help me to be more aware of this so that I can stop doing this and take more action in the things regarding you. Thank you so much for your guidance and love. Amen
